Batman: Arkham Origins - Playstation 3

    • You get randomly selected to be the Dark Knight and the Boy Wonder via a lottery system, but man is it fun to strike from the shadows while a war is going on
    • plus any true fan of the dark knight would want to complete his/her collection of this trillogy.
    • the Dark Lone Knight has to play with others
    • The only thing that took away from my enjoyment is the broken combat system which makes some Dark Knight achievements even more difficult to achieve, (20 crit strikes in a single free flow combat sequence which breaks when I get hit from counter not working properly).
    • but then he shows black mask whyhes calldd the Dark Knight this would have been a change up that we needed and its probably why the Joker isn't even in rocksteadys new game
    • The Dark knight system is pretty nifty and fighting Deathstroke was a blast for me
    • So instead of enjoying the awesome glided mechanics, taking in the city, scanning for bad guys, and in general being the Dark Knight, you have to be ever so cognizant and preoccupied with avoided any of these invisible barriers that just straight up ruin the momentum of any fun you might be having.
    • From this installment, we see the Dark Knight evolve from myth to legend, right from the beginning
    • That can be a good or bad thing depending on the player, but playing through is still fun none the less, but due to the hiccups of gliding from point to point with frame rate issue, it is not as fun to glide from one part of the city to the other as how arkam city was, so I wish there were a fast travel system in play to be able to over come that issue alittle, maybe a patch might fix it?The story is definitely the interesting part, all those assassins against the dark knight.
    • If you liked the previous games and are looking for good Dark Knight action, butt-kicking and amazing fights against the best set of enemies to date, then this is your game.

    • More accurately, it's like Gotham compared to Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy
    • He looks like a mix of the Arkham games, and the Dark Knight movies
    • While still formulaic they give you that up-close and personal hand-to-hand combat feeling that should be expected given the nature of the characters (Deathstroke, for example)The story is somewhat darker, showing a brutal, angrier Batman more in line with the Dark Knight trilogy then the refined veteran of the previous titles
    • More often than not, it's common to hear people sing the praises of the caped crusader based solely on The Dark Knight Trilogy and the events within it
    • Collecting the Riddler trophies is simply a matter of having the correct gadgets to complete the puzzle, requiring little or no thought or dexterity, and there are no visual Riddler challenges at all (which were wonderful fanservice in the previous games, and showed that Rocksteady really knew and loved their Dark Knight lore). On the other hand, the combat is great and the boss fights are suitably entertaining, with each boss bringing a new gimmick
    • Dark Knight comic series for me is the undisputed winner of all so this was a fun game to play
    • the Dark Knight acquires are the Shock Gloves: after beating on enough enemies, these gloves gain an electric charge that doubles the damage of Batman's punches and even lets him directly damage armored enemies, shielded enemies, and enemies with shock batons
    • While most of them are gained automatically at certain points in the main story, certain gadgets and skills like the sonic batarangs and special takedown moves, as well as certain gadget upgrades, can only be acquired by fulfilling challenges in the game's Dark Knight System
    • Of course nothing is so simple, and as the Dark Knight explores Gotham he will encounter numerous sidequests featuring a variety of characters from the Batman Rogue's gallery
    • Thankfully Bane is treated appropriately, which is a breath of fresh air after he was basically ignored in 'City', and Christopher Nolan and Tom Hardy reduced the character to a British-accent-having, marshmallow-mouth-speaking, philosophical-waxing hand servant in The Dark Knight Rises
