Bean Envy Gooseneck Pour Over Coffee Kettle - 40oz/1.2L - Premium Grade Stainless Steel - Insulated BPA Free Plastic Ergonomic Handle - Glass Top With Built-In Thermometer

    • but now I use it for anything I need hot water for.
    • The kettle is easy to use and takes the guesswork out of how hot the water is when making tea or coffee
    • The thermometer feature offers great help in getting the water just right and not too too hot, the handle is great and doesn’t burn up, and the neck pours like a dream
    • Their moto is good water=good coffee.
    • I purchased this product in July and the thermometer popped off and broke when I was pouring the hot water from the spout.
    • Every time water starts to boil it shoots out spout
    • This item has only ever been hand washed with gentle soap and water and left to air dry
    • Solution? boil the water in my electric kettle in a snap, pout it into this kettle, and then use it for the chemex
    • It holds enough water for two large cups of coffee.
    • 1.2L is very, very full, and if you're using it that full on a gas range with a burner that's bigger than the bottom, the heat from the burner can boil the water in the neck and cause it to burp a bit as it gets closer to 190F, and if you're not using a small gas burner, it will get the handle quite hot too, requiring a towel to hold
    • Green marked window on thermometer to know when your water is ready.
    • Love the look and the temperature gauge is so great- easy to see when the water is ready.
    • It is easy to clean, heats pretty fast but it could spit water while boiling if you pour a lot of water in it (which is totally fine from physics perspective :D)
    • What I love about the thermometer is that if the water begins to cool as you're pouring for a few minutes, you can easily heat it up again within seconds (hence my set up being near the stove)
    • It has a long thin mouth that allows you to slowly pour the water into your filter as opened to the normal big open mouths where you worry about too much hot water rushing out at once
    • I found that if I leave water in the little kettle at simmering temperatures - easy to see on the temperature gauge - I have hot water available all day for tea on demand
    • You can pour the hot water exactly where you want it, with very little practice
    • I particularly like the fact that handle doesn't get hot when your water is ready.
    • The thermometer on the lid lets you know exactly when your water is ready; all you need to do is add some great
    • However, I learned that the kettle top thermometer needle was sticking as the water got hotter.
    • I fill this to the bottom of the top ring with cold filtered water from the fridge.
    • The built in thermometer is great for the perfect water temperature
    • I get the perfect water temp for my french press
    • It's pretty, and useful for adding hot water to anything I am cooking
    • We heat up our water with our electric hot water kettle and pour it into this one
    • I cleaned everything thoroughly with dish soap and hot water and boiled water a few times before I acutally used it to make coffee, like the directions say
    • but you just have to heat it up properly and don’t use a burner that’s a way larger surface area than the kettle and it boils the water perfectly and fast
    • Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys coffee, tea or other beverages that require hot water to make.
    • Great looking, fast hot water, love the thermometer
    • But if you plan to stand by while your water is boiling, you'll see it heats up fast and gives you refined pour over control for your coffee beans
    • I love the temperature gauge - finally, I can determine how hot I want the water for my herbal tisane.
    • The built-in thermometer is VERY handy, especially the green indicator for ideal water temperature
    • The design is great: the handle does not get hot and I know when the appropriate water temperature has been reached.
    • It was not large enough to release the boiling pressure and water would issue from spout
    • but you just have to heat it up properly and don’t use a burner that’s a way larger surface area than the kettle and it boils the water perfectly and fast
    • I use it for pour over as well as for tea, nothing beats being able to control the temperature
