There is a noisy 'hiss' on EACH track, which means if you're using all 8 channels it can build up into some pretty awful white noise
-
but the interface has a noisy hiss by default regardless of what is plugged into the rest of the mixer and even if every knob is turned all the way down
-
I would like to not have to use noise suppression because it kind of garbles the sound, but it isn't an option with this mixer unless I just leave a fuzzy hiss in the background, which I just can't let slide personally
-
The one recommendation I would have though is if you are thinking about buying it, get into a store or shop that carries them and discuss how you want to use it and ask for a demo recording to see if it's producing a noisy hiss from the
-
It's very noise no matter what you do, hiss hiss hiss.
-
But to make matters worse, with pots to 0 db and inputs disconnected, when I recorded a track an annoying hiss is present though down
-
Cant even record anything with it the hiss is louder then my voice
-
Additionally, it seems this hiss is significantly worse on the first two channels, and turning up the gain knobs at all can easily start to drown out the other channels
-
That was when I got this product 2-3 years ago, now the hiss is still the same and the mixer as a whole has lost the ability to mix in stereo
-
The problem is that the second one I ordered displayed the same behavior (very loud hiss when volume on mic inputs and master input was set to a conservative "zero")I'm very comfortable with amplifiers and theater receivers.
-
Hard as H!@# to use

So when you want to record successive tracks, the input of the new track is delayed in the headphones compared to the old track(s)
