In addition the pedal is physically flimsy and the plastic feels like it could crack if stepped on too hard

But this pedal tracks very poorly and on a sustained note longer than a second, loses track of the note and outputs a very unmusical growl.

I'll use it, but it's a definitely a placeholder for a better pedal.
