    BEHRINGER UMC204HD

    • The Preamps are amazing
    • I personally think it meets and exceeds the preamps found on Behringers XR18, X32 series consoles.
    • Preamps are clean with enough gain, but start to pickup more noise by the end of the range
    • The preamps sounded decent with studio mics, namely Sennheiser 421, Beyerdynamik MC740, Oktava MKL2500
    • Preamps are clean, quiet and clear, Playback is clear and detailed
    • Those problems are gone now - the preamps make my cheap mic loud and crisp with no noise
    • I can't easily AB with the RME, but the preamps are clear and very functional.
    • So I would characterize the preamps as decent but rig quality sensitive
    • Mic preamps are excellent
    • While it takes some fiddling with the software to get a good balance between low latency and lack of crackling, it works as it should
    • The device seems to work as I intended it to, and time will tell if there are audio quality issues or other concerns I haven't thought of.
    • Maybe - as well as with any USB interface, which is to say “within limits”.I can live and play in time with a 10 mS round trip latency
    • considering im upgrading from an M-Audio box Fast Track that ive used for 8+ years, i have no complaints with this
