Besides the speed and the solid build quality, the Belkin charging stand has a tiny pinpoint LED to indicate the stand is charging; almost every other charging stand I've encountered has a bright LED light that illuminates my entire nightstand in the dark.

Charging is not as fast as if it were plugged

I do wonder if this could charge through one of those Lifeproof or Otterbox super-thick waterproof cases; I will not be getting one of those any time soon, but I would recommend a little research as far as that goes
