This Belkin model is pretty large and significantly more expensive than other models and I don't see any reason to pay more for it unless you like the design.
The design is very sleek, fitting, and low profile, which I like a lot

Excellent produce just what it said it was an works great
The charging platform works very well in making a solid connection to my phone...the phone does not have to be exactly centered on the stand and it still charges just fine.
The Belkin charger which lies flat allows for USB based charging but having the iPhone upright so that face unlock works is important for me and hence chose this model.
Belkin's Boost Up wireless charging pad works well with my iPhone 8 running iOS
The recipient loved it but now, only 4 months later, it no longer works

I can just plop my phone on without specifically needing to find the sweet spot where it works
No particular problems locating a sweet spot.
You do need to place your phone (face up) in exactly the right spot on the charger to be sure it’s charging, but the green light lets you know when you’ve hit that sweet spot.
Sometimes I do have to nudge the phone to hit the sweet spot, but

The Belkin Boost Up wireless charging pad definitely serves my needs

So using this stand I lose the advantage of the fast charging capability of the iPhone X.
This is a solid stand that I would recommend to someone wanting to take advantage of conductive charging.
Great charging stand, I love the way it tilts, and it holds my S8 Edge perfectly
However, if you find your sleep disturbed by light, and/or want a solidly-built, stylish charging stand, you may find the Belkin Boost Up to be your best option.

So...it seems like such a small thing-not having to plug and unplug your phone while charging
The really good thing about wireless charging is that your not slowly destroying the lightning port with the daily plugging in and plugging out of a lightning plug.
If you're in a hurry the better thing to do is to plug your phone to the cable directly

The biggest drawbacks to the Belkin Boost Up are the use of a proprietary charging cable (most charging stands use a micro USB) and the comparatively high price (most "generic" fast charging stands are around $30, while the Belkin is $69.99).
At any rate, I highly recommend getting this, as I cannot tell you how many charging cables I have ruined by wanting to quickly unplug my phone on the go--the durability of iPhone charging cables has always been fairly sketchy IMHO
Unlike the Samsung the Belkin requires a proprietary charging cable whereas the Samsung plugs into a USB port (however I think that the Belkin draws too much power for that).
Charging is not as fast as if it were plugged
I do wonder if this could charge through one of those Lifeproof or Otterbox super-thick waterproof cases; I will not be getting one of those any time soon, but I would recommend a little research as far as that goes

I never have issues with it not working or having to adjust the placement on the pad
I did not have any issues with the phone sliding off the disc when vibrating from notifications, as the rubber circle on the surface of the charger provides good grip against the relatively smooth surface of the Fre case.
I've had no issues with the placement of the iPhone on the charger and love the green indicator light.
and I've got the "slow charging" issue when plugging a USB C cable
The heating up issue was worrisome as the light went from white to yellow on the Belkin Qi disk
