I have varied experiences with charging stands: one was completely dead when I received it, one claimed to be fast charge when it was not, another was an inexpensive fast charging stand that worked decently, and now this Belkin device.

YMMV.The packaging for this stand is the weakest link - the cardboard box is a minor pain to open (you have to pull it sideways out of a tight cardboard sleeve), and there's a very smelly stiff foam block inside of the box that I guess was supposed to be glued to the cardboard, to protect the stand during shipping, but instead came loose and glued itself to the instructions instead

This is a solid stand that I would recommend to someone wanting to take advantage of conductive charging.

It is sturdy and for those phones with the home button, pushing it does not disturb the stand.

The biggest drawbacks to the Belkin Boost Up are the use of a proprietary charging cable (most charging stands use a micro USB) and the comparatively high price (most "generic" fast charging stands are around $30, while the Belkin is $69.99).

I especially like that my iPhone X can still read my face while charging on the stand without me having to lean over above it (like you do for chargers that are flat to the table surface), AND I can use the phone and tap away because the stand is sturdy

The charger works, the stand is nice to have, but the charge rate is very slow; almost a trickle charge.

So using this stand I lose the advantage of the fast charging capability of the iPhone X.

Great charging stand, I love the way it tilts, and it holds my S8 Edge perfectly

The Belkin Boost Up charger here provided a fantastic solution as it provides a much more generous length AC cord and makes a neat stand for the phone to sit on the night stand.

However, if you find your sleep disturbed by light, and/or want a solidly-built, stylish charging stand, you may find the Belkin Boost Up to be your best option.
