Small plastic dust shields are inside each 110 v opening.

Each plug has plastic inserts that guard against probling little fingers, or objects from dropping into the holes and creating a shock hazard.

The unit is not a cheap plastic shell that will fall apart.

So I bought one and use it when I travel as well as at home.

It works exactly as I want it to and having the usb ports is a huge help
