I would love to see a comment from some one that has the Sound Blaster Z and a tube headphone amp to hear if it is worth buying an inexpensive (less than $200) tube headphone amp.

If u get the 250 ohm or 600 ohm, you will need a strong amp to run them, again you will love these things

The highs can get a bit piercing with the volume turned up, but with a decent amp, it actually doesn't distort or crackle

Also at 250 ohm you certainly need an amp powerful enough to really get these cans to show off their sound stage

As there is no real color to the headphone an appropriate amp would do well with this can for music listening
