the velocity bold is pretty bold, leaving a nice thick line that is easy to read

I find the gel pens (both Pentel and Uniball) have a smoother more consistent line, than the Bic ballpoint.

I don't find either of these competing pens to be "bold" - the box claiming "bold vivid lines".

Because of the nice thick line it forces me to write "big" and that means my normal hen-scratching style is actually readable by me six weeks later.

Smooth writing, bold lines, only ones I use now.
