One thinks that four stars equal good quality, but I would give this pen a one or two star because of the gloppy mess it makes some of the time, but 4 stars for comfort and easy flow.

The trusty BIC pen is even better in this Velocity Bold Ballpoint pen, the retractable feature is helpful to prevent staining because the ink is thick leaving residue on the pens end
Well, I don't know how much space travel BIC has done to verify their claim, but the BIC is definitely buttery smooth and smoother than the Papermate
However, the BIC leave a little glob of ink on the end after writing for a while - like the old clear BIC stick pens did - necessitating wiping it off on scrap paper.

I don't know if they are "bold", but they aren't the sticky icky fine point pens that drive me nuts
