Sure they recommend filling the carafe first with hot water to help keep brewed coffee hot but that doesn’t do you any good it you’re programming to automatically brew each morning

I can honestly say that the only downside to this coffe maker is that you can't smell coffee brewing in the morning because of the carafe

The brew time is less than one minute per cup, which may not set any records, but the fastest brew may not be the best

We rinse, pack and set it the evening before and awaken to the smell and taste of great fresh brew

Then when the coffee was done brewing, and you went to pour it into your cup, it would leak all down the cup

I’ll probably select a different brand because the brew wasn’t steamy hot and the taste was a little flat in addition to the leaking water.

Put it on strong brew mode and that is exactly what you'll get

Great brew, better than our last Cuisinart which was double the price

Slower brewing than I expected

At least I can use the carafe for pour-over until I get a replacement (definitely NOT another inexpensive B&D).
