The toasting itself is nice but the dang holes are so small you have to touch the wire baskets to open it up far enough to put in a smaller sized bagel

I set it on 5 to begin with, and the toast was really crunchy, which I liked, but I tried it the next time on 4.5 just to check it out

We love bagels, and my son especially loves chibatta bread toast.

If you require perfect toast or have a problem w/ flipping the bread over, this isn't for you.

I do believe if you want warmer, better toast, you can turn the button to the highest setting, and just cancel about half way through, but of course you have to monitor the toasting closely.

POSITIVES: very even & thorough toasting of bread and bagels, which is the main criteria I’d use to judge

In place of the platform that raises and lowers, there is a sort of basket-like concoction that makes it impossible for a normal sized anything (short of maybe a very skinny french toast stick?) to get through and fall too close to the heating element
