I sanded my entire side deck which is 30' by 4" with this before staining and it did a great job.

While it does not catch all the dust by any means, it catches a lot of it and it makes the sanding job a lot easier than doing it by hand

If i were to tape sandpaper to my cat (not that i would ever do that), he would do a better job of sanding than this B&D sander
