ordered as a gift...problem with it smoking some when first turned on and smells like plastic burning...they have removed all the plastic they see so not sure where the plastic smell is coming from

Put food in, turned it on Bake, walked away, 6 minutes later my entire downstairs smells like burning plastic or something.

The plastic on my older version caught on fire one day, pretty scary but this one works just as well as the old one and actually feels a bit sturdier.

Within a minute or two, I could smell that acrid burnt plastic.

It's fine for the money... but honestly, the timer doesn't always end exactly when it stops cooking...kind of had a plastic-ey smell for a while

Works exactly as I need it to.

It seems to work as you might expect for the price, except the cord is 23 inches long, so you'd better have an outlet on the counter near where you plan to park it.
