Actually this is a great price for a great toaster oven

We were very pleased to get this oven at such a good price.

My Black and Decker Toaster Oven was purchased at a great price and it fits well on my kitchen cabinet and is easy to use and to clean

Forget about using the bake function to warm anything up

The oven function works well enough, but the toaster toasts totally unevenly -- the part of the bread slice that's in back is overdone while the front edge is almost untoasted.

Since the trays are missing I have not been able to use it once.

The tray is pathetic; an inch and a half short in width and a half inch too narrow

I like that the crumb tray can be removed and there are more choices of settings.

Within a minute or two, I could smell that acrid burnt plastic.

Works exactly as I need it to.

The plastic on my older version caught on fire one day, pretty scary but this one works just as well as the old one and actually feels a bit sturdier.

Like others have said, the burned plastic smell is quite strong

ordered as a gift...problem with it smoking some when first turned on and smells like plastic burning...they have removed all the plastic they see so not sure where the plastic smell is coming from

I turned it on and smelled like my house was burning.

Thankfully we had a fire extinguisher near by or it could have burned down the house

But somehow, with many of these moderns toaster ovens, turning the dial full counter-clockwise puts them in BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN mode

I would not recommend this toaster oven to my worst enemy unless I wanted them to burn down their house

You get what you pay for & for $23, this is fine for a few months (if it doesn't burn my house down).

Our oven broke a few weeks before Christmas; the worst time of year for this to happen

Works great!The visual markings for the settings are difficult to see with old eyes and insufficient lighting.

Maybe they are relying on customers who don't bother to go through return process (spend time with customer service + find a box + print a shipping label + drag this garbage to the post office) and just through it in the trash, their wallets $30 lighter.

The lights on this oven started getting dimmer and dimmer which meant less heat from the day I bought it until about 2 weeks ago and threw it away because it took to long to toast/cook anything

The left ven was slightly smoking, not dark smoke but light
