its good, but i believe using the preamps would be better, because through this blue icicle, it still doesnt sound as clear as how the mic should sound like

I have a Behringer condenser mic, about the least expensive mic you can find, but it sounded great before and it sounds great through the blue icicle.

It works wonders, the only downside is my mic looked like a vibrator wand.

I have been using a standard XLR to USB cable with my Shure 58 dynamic mic, which works okay, except for an annoying hissing noise that accompanies the majority of my vocal recordings.

Buy this for that skype and stuff if you already have a mic but for real just buy a headset with attached mic because then you still have a adequate mic and Headphones most likely for the same price as this Icicle

The mic preamp works fine if your looking for something cheap, and reliable, works fine for me, have had no problems

Can't get much out of this tool other than making an expensive mic sound no better than a cellphone headset mic

I do have a condenser mic, but don't like its style.
