The only problem I run into is that Windows occasionally has problems recognizing the Snowball (since going to Windows 10 this has been a problem)

For the price, the snowball is excellent

(This isn't really the Snowball's fault, but you might be fooled into thinking that you're getting sub-standard results from the Snowball when you're really using an inferior, built-in mic.)A minor annoyance for screencam capture: the Snowball needs to be a bit to the side of the monitor so that you can see the screen, and so it needs to be carefully positioned at the correct angle to catch your voice in the cardioid mode

If you want a quality condenser mic with a budget I highly recommend the Blue Snowball.

I started with the Blue Snowflake and, to be honest, didn't notice any difference in the sound of the spoken voice with the more expensive Blue Snowball microphone.

If you think Windows 7 is the last software or your equipment investment is disposable, buy the big, fat snowball

And the Snowball does it really well.

With an aesthetic design that's unparalleled, the Snowball is a joy to look at

and I prefer the snowball over it

If you have XP, please buy mine because Blue won't put the firmware update where previously loyal Blue Snowball owners can get it and keep their microphones serviceable

But as every USB mics, snowball has a little delay too

This microphone picks up sounds from all directions so you can have a conversation with many people without moving the microphone around - great for a band recoding practice as well!Easy to use - literal plug and play, the Snowball is well worth the minor investment

I highly recommend the Snowball for both its quality and ease of use

The stand is of considerably less quality and the limitation of only one recording mode makes the regular Snowball a much better purchase.
