To start off, I chose to knock a star off for the un-user friendliness of this mic, for the quality of this product, it should have had an off button on it, having to have the mic on

The only reason I knocked off a star.

However, it loses two stars for one simple reason: the mini-USB cable it comes with is absolute garbage

They lose a star for poor customer service.

Would be 5 stars but the cable that powers the device is in an awkward spot on the back of this, depending on how you swivel the mic, you damage the cable.

I'm only giving it two stars because I really like the physical design of it, but it just doesn't record well.

Easy 5 stars from me.

I returned it but still gave it two stars because (ignoring the whine) it did seem to work as expected.

This microphone is good, just buy a screen so the p's don't pop and the s's aren't too sharp.

The controls all work as they should

I bought this in 2013, use it weekly, and it as good as day one.

Works as it is advertised!

This includes things like Discord/Skype/etc as well as for streaming and plain audio recording

I looked up youtube reviews, reviews here on Amazon, as well as on other tech review sites, and I can say with confidence that the Yeticaster is definitely a top tier choice when it comes to above average USB Mics, and a fantastic shock mount and boom arm

The sound quality is good, but not as great as I was expecting for the price
