Blue Yeti USB Microphone - Silver

    • All the cables and accessories worked upon connecting them to my laptop and the mic
    • I researched what the issue was and many people online claimed the cable was trash, so I bought a new cable from Amazon (a simple Amazon Basics cable) and now the mic works perfectly without any loss in connection
    • I assumed it was the crappy USB cable they
    • Blue, if you guys wise up, throw in a better cable and your product might have more stellar ratings and less returns.
    • I expect better cables to have come with this microphone
    • first noticed the cable wasn't really connecting right fist the sound went in and out, had to send in the mic to a certified store to fix it cost me another 80$ to have the thing damn
    • When I went to unplug it the cable was ridiculously hot; the metal was hot enough to burn skin
    • This could badly twist the cable or even damage the contacts
    • But the cable they gave me was shoddy and snapped off after some use,pop filters are more than a bit of a pain to attach and keep on,and the headphone plug got worn and loose so the sound now gives out
    • Get a better cable.
    • Unfortunately, the cable it came with was defective and doesn’t work
    • Unplugging the bad cable had no effect; Windows continued to blare out warnings and USB devices were disabled
    • Would be 5 stars but the cable that powers the device is in an awkward spot on the back of this, depending on how you swivel the mic, you damage the cable.
    • The arm also has slick cable routing and a more finished look than generic arms.
    • Cable came broken however.
    • The only issue is finding a cable to fit
    • I changed out the cables and that worked for a while, but the connection started dropping again
    • This could badly twist the cable or even damage the contacts
    • But the stand's design made it so that I accidentally broke the USB cable that shipped with the microphone within the first five minutes
    • As a tip, make sure you pull the cable through the hole (of the stand), tilt the microphone upwards (so that the base faces you) and then plug it into the base instead of first attaching the cable to the base of the microphone and then trying to twist the cable around or through the hole at the base
    • I researched what the issue was and many people online claimed the cable was trash, so I bought a new cable from Amazon (a simple Amazon Basics cable) and now the mic works perfectly without any loss in connection
    • There was power running to the mic showing that the cable wasn't the problem, and multiple USB ports weren't the issue either
    • This interface has been notoriously deemed one of the worst cables there ever was just due to the nature of how they work
    • I refuse to give more than 1 star for a product with such a crappy USB cable.
    • I discovered the blue yeti has a notorious bad USB cable it comes with
    • I heard cables they send with mic tend to be no good, so maybe do yourself a favor and get a better cable along with this mic
    • Assembly is quick and intuitive and, when you plug the lengthy USB cable into your computer, the OS will load the appropriate driver and you’re ready to go
    • If you're not careful, you can move the mic up or down and the power cable will smash up against the back of the stand, breaking the cable.
    • Fortunately I had another mini-USB cable handy.
    • My only gripe would be the cable that connects to the base of the microphone
    • Microphone is good but, the cable is damaged
    • They told me it was probably a bad cable after I recorded some audio and sent it to them for a listen.
    • USB 2.0 cable broke within 2 months of standard
    • The controls all work as they should
    • I bought this in 2013, use it weekly, and it as good as day one.
    • This includes things like Discord/Skype/etc as well as for streaming and plain audio recording
    • I looked up youtube reviews, reviews here on Amazon, as well as on other tech review sites, and I can say with confidence that the Yeticaster is definitely a top tier choice when it comes to above average USB Mics, and a fantastic shock mount and boom arm
    • I will keep you posted and update the stars when it is confirmed that the replacement works as it should with no repeat issues
    • Works as it is advertised!
    • The sound quality is good, but not as great as I was expecting for the price
    • ever i have a youtub e channel i would love to promote it
