There are different ways to mix and/or master an audio project and most modern music is not mixed to translate well in a surround environment, thus when you switch to that mode, the music will sometimes sound thin, and/or it will appear to lose some of its definition.

I also Have a pair Beats Studio wireless and the beats are more attractive but that's where it ends I can't tell one difference so for $99 (black on Black) and the 3d sound is good for movies and gaming only they will mess up your music.... and they are so comfortable I can go 2 hours before I have too take them off for a minute
