when i updated the firmware the device stopped working and when i contacted the company they told me that something went wrong during the update and it can't be recovered , also it only support vehicles sold in north america , if you have a European car you should buy the cheap obd instead of this one because practically it would do the same .

I don't use this to monitor my engine while I am driving, since I am driving and I run other apps that don't require me to interact while driving, but this device is capable of monitoring and is useful when trouble shooting certain issues

In summary these devices are fine for simple issues, however, complex issues may need dealer specific scan software

IMHO this device is not worth $99 and for the issues I'm encountering will be sending it back.

As a guy who fixes my own GMC truck, this is mostly what I want it for, and I don't have to carry a separate clunky device as the plug-in dongle is very manageable, and connection to my Android

The app loaded seamlessly and the device paired no problem with my phone.

I would not recommend this device for troubleshooting specific components on your vehicle unless you have prior experience with the correct values you should see displayed, and you can read between the lines

And since the phone app is made by the device manufacturer it works perfectly: easy to read, easy to navigate, torrents of information.

This device does software updates just like the expensive ones the mechanics have to keep it current
