Don't think it had anything to do with the heat because the carafe itself wasn't cold when I poured the hot water
-
It's better than the plastic brand that is supposed to be 'better' that ended up dumping the whole carafe when I was trying to pour the liquid into a cup.
-
I did both; my first was a Brazil, and when I broke the carafe on that one after a couple of years, decided to just get a whole new coffeemaker, then went down the rabbit hole of thinking that the more expensive and slightly better looking Chambord would be better.
-
Love the color, but the handle makes it difficult to take the carafe out to clean it.
-
I've broken 2 carafe
-
I had a French press as a gift from my mother-in-law maybe 20 years ago, but eventually broke the glass carafe and never bothered to get another until now
-
A heat fracture broke the carafe
-
I broke the carafe, looked on Amazon for a replacement, and realized that this 12-cup model cost only a little more than a replacement carafe
-
I cannot imagine what the more expensive French press carafes might possibly offer that this one doesn't.
-
The carafe broke about 30 days after I bought it
-
I am used to large mugs of Brown Gold, so this size disappoints as to quantity filling only 75% of one 12 oz mug, which may be OK for you if you add creamer or milk, but I have been taking mine black for nearly a year now
-
It broke as I was putting the handle back over the rim, and did a little damage to me
-
Works as I knew it would
-
The coffee grounds only need to be coarse ground as to not clog the filter.
-
So I’m really confused as to why it is advertised as an 8 cup.
