If you haven't had french press coffee, realize that the coffee ground sludge does get into the bottom of your cup, so don't drink it to the last drop

but I wanted a single serve in order to press only about 1-2 TBSP of coffee because the larger French Presses don't allow me to actually "press" the small amount of coffee ground to extract the coffee oil

Worked for fine for about 2 weeks, then it slowly started letting coffee grinds pass through the filter.

I love the metal mesh filter - it's easy to clean and seems to push down the coffee grinds even better than the rubber style Bodum plunger on our other french press.

A few coffee grinds always sneak through the filter but that's problebly my fault for not buying the right grind size.

And if your trying to make a full pot, the wet coffee grinds get pressed out of the spout
