    • I've never broken the glass on one of these, it's truly bulletproof
    • Bodum seems to have better glass than the other french presses in this price point - and though it is a plastic handle/bottom, which is a tough hard to snap off to clean underneath, I dont seem to have the issues with the glass and boiling water that others have at this price point.

    • The glass wasn't hot and was being washed with lukewarm water.

    • On the 3rd or 4th use, the glass BROKE
    • Just falling over 90 degrees onto its side on the counter was enough to shatter the glass
    • I like that the glass isn't detachable, personally, because again, I hate using my parents' press because the glass keeps turning and shifting around because of its detachable nature, which makes me nervous about pouring out of it
    • It did not sustain any banging or the like so it may just have been due to thermal shock but the glass wasn't cold to begin with.
    • I purchased it to replace my 20 year old Bodium after I dropped it and shattered the glass
    • The main flaw (fragile glass vessel rather than durable steel) is my fault, I should have spent a few dollars more.
    • Also, I already broke the glass on mine just by trying to pull it out
    • Stress fractures the glassThe base is SO TIGHT that it will not casually accept replacement glass, and also, is prone to stress fracturing the glass

    • Only complaint is that taking the beaker out of the plastic frame is very difficult and feels like your gonna break the glass, so I just don't take it out...
    • The glass is weak.
    • The glass is solid and durable and the plastic material is well made and fits the product excellently
    • Make sure not to use a metal spoon to stir it so you don't damage the glass
    • It scrapes and scratches the inside glass every time it moves
    • The only reason I got this one is I broke the glass via launching it off the counter.

    • It broke as I was putting the handle back over the rim, and did a little damage to me
    • Works as I knew it would
    • The coffee grounds only need to be coarse ground as to not clog the filter.
    • So I’m really confused as to why it is advertised as an 8 cup.
