Bonavita 1.0L Variable Temperature Electric Kettle, 1.0 Liters, Metallic

    • I think the best feature is the longer, thinner spout which makes pouring directly into anything so much nicer and controlled
    • Good features about this kettle include mostly stainless construction, beepless design, commercial rating, and proven 5-year durability.
    • After a couple months of use, I'm generally happy with its abilities, but the "smart" features don't exactly line up how you'd hope, especially if you make pour-over coffee
    • Heats fast, has a variety of useful temp settings and the 'hold temp' feature is really nice as well.
    • So far we love this kettle, it doesn’t take but a few mins to heat up and is rather quiet, and the temp hold is a really sweet feature
    • the goose neck coffee kettle spout and water temp control - - - goose neck spout is a great design feature for pouring water over freshly ground coffee beans in a Melitta style cone shaped coffee maker - water temp was right on - - - checked often with digital thermometer (I am not a coffee fanatic - even though I roast my own beans, keep water temp at 195-215 for coffee pour, use a digital scale to measure the amount of ground coffee per cup, and use an adjustable burr grinder for different types of beans and coffee drinks - - - back to review - never had one bit of rust, never had parts break in 4 years of daily use - for coffee and teas ( as tea require different temps for different teas this machine was perfect) - temp control worked perfect from day one until last day of use - which was 4 years from date of purchase - price on 30 Dec 2015 was a $72.51 - purchased yesterday for $50.66
    • I have really appreciated the digital temperature feature but this also doesn't function very well on the hold feature
    • Another great feature is the ability to set and hold the temp so you can step away without worrying that the water will cool too much
    • The reason I'm writing this review now is that there is one safety note/feature suggestion I'd like to make: The kettle lid may be placed on the kettle in any orientation
    • Not a good feature.
    • Thermostat is a great feature and being able to hold that temperature is another great feature that I love
    • Easy to set up, and some really great features
    • It's got a comfortable handle, an easy-to-use interface, great temperature accuracy, and nice features
    • Would much prefer to be able to change the preset temperatures, and for the kettle to either have a smart feature, or for it to be able to work with a smart outlet
    • If you are a tea drinker that uses water temps other than boiling, these are nice features to have!!
    • While this kettle has some amazing features, it came defective
    • It's definitely not as cute as the Hario kettle, but it's digital, heats quickly, holds temp if needed, and gives me more control over my pours... which btw, is the most important feature when I'm making coffee.
    • Bad features include some (totally unnecessary) plastic inside the water-heating compartment.
    • Well this is one of the greatest features of this kettle, it is fast
    • This feature is really nice if you brew a coffe or tea that requires a 'non-standard' temperature.
    • I looked for another replacement but settled on buying another of these, the set and hold feature is that handy.
    • The set and hold feature is wonderful
    • I also like the temperature 'hold' feature which will keep the water constant for an hour.
    • I've used this feature a couple times, but love this kettle so much that I want to baby it to give it the longest life.
    • The kettle consistently said the water was anywhere from 20ºF to 50ºF colder than it actually was
    • The base malfunctioned after just over a year of use, and a replacement base was denied as it was just outside of warranty
    • The spout neck is kind of a pain and the temperature regulation on the second one we bought was not as accurate as on the first one
    • Works exactly as it's supposed to
    • I've found that by setting the kettle to "hold" at 98 C, I can get it to work as
    • I wipe out all of the water right after it cools off a
