Bonavita 1.0L Variable Temperature Electric Kettle, 1.0 Liters, Metallic
Controls the temperature well and love the gooseneck which makes it great for things like pour over coffee
I’ve gotten no rusting issues, no gooseneck breakage, no leaking
The gooseneck is great to control a pour with the Chemex or an Aeropress
Not a single complaint, 1L size is just great and its gooseneck is perfect for pour overs
Then I began to make pour over coffee and the gooseneck is perfect

Works great, super fast hot water, you control the temp
We enjoy the temp settings to cater to different teas and coffee
Love the temp control for making different drinks and how quickly the water boils
Can set the temperature I want, which is perfect for brewing the perfect cup of coffee or tea, because boiling water isn't always the ideal temp
The current one is starting to have erratic temp readings and seems slow to heat sometimes

Great for perfect temperature water for coffee making of various
I bought this kettle in 2016 and it now displays erratic temperature readings
It heats up fairly quickly and has great temperature control for pourover coffee
My first kettle was DOA, a bad temperature sensor made it just plain not work at all, so that was kind of a red flag, hopefully the replacement lasts for awhile
Works great for warming water to a precise temperature for tea

The controls are fine, but not the best either
Some reviewers have commented the control is lacking but that has not been the case for me
It heats up fairly quickly and has great temperature control for pourover coffee
The most important part of (and the point of) a gooseneck kettle is to have precise, slow control of the flow of water
Easy to handle, heats quickly, and has great control for the pour

The gooseneck was appealing to my husband as he loves his pour over coffee.
Heats up fast, temperature control is solid, and has fantastic pour control.
First off, a gooseneck kettle is an absolute must for anyone wanting to make a really good pour over
What that boils down to (hah) is a smoother pour with more agitation control.
Beautiful pot, really, with the gooseneck and has a lovely pour

I also like the temperature 'hold' feature which will keep the water constant for an hour.
Bad features include some (totally unnecessary) plastic inside the water-heating compartment.
The kettle consistently said the water was anywhere from 20ºF to 50ºF colder than it actually was
Heats fast, has a variety of useful temp settings and the 'hold temp' feature is really nice as well.
The base malfunctioned after just over a year of use, and a replacement base was denied as it was just outside of warranty

Haven't really had a problem till about a month ago, the pot started leaking from the spout
If you don't like this, get a pot with a top-pour spout and this won't happen
Beautiful pot, really, with the gooseneck and has a lovely pour
This pot is perfect for tea or coffee any time of the day - the temperature adjusts to whatever you
I really love this tee pot my water is always at the right temperature everyone should own one

No losing heat while transferring to another gooseneck spout pot.
, I usually brew v60 and works just perfect, great heat control and the gooseneck work pretty well for this kind of brewing.
I did see a bunch of complaints about slow heating, but I haven't experienced any of it and it gets to 195-200 super quickly.
The hold function is pretty good, but this thing loses heat fast and the body gets extremely hot
The base malfunctioned after just over a year of use, and a replacement base was denied as it was just outside of warranty

I already know how to count, so this product is officially useless.***I'll update this review if someone gets back to me about a fix/replacement
Use this great product for a while worth buying and easy to use
Great Product works awesome and it looks adorable on my kitchen counter where I keep all my coffee accessories
Unfortunately, the product started rusting where the metal meets the plastic base within a few months
Its excellent product and easy to use and great goos nick

The temperature control and hold features are very convenient and the spout is precise for pour-over coffee.
I hack-sawed the spout to change the pour angle to be more like the Hario kettle; this significantly helped.- Rusts easily
While it worked, we liked the functionality and especially the pour spout for making pour over coffee
It worked well for almost two years until the spout started leaking at the weld
its light weight and has a really nice spout which is easy to control

Only thing I don't like is that it doesn't default to holding the temperature.
Controls the temperature well and love the gooseneck which makes it great for things like pour over coffee
Three things on the manufacturer's end:1) if you tilt a bit too far the spout will leak slightly where it is connected to the body of the kettle2
The controls on the base are easy to get the right temperature, and the whole thing makes a morning jolt of caffeine super easy.
This thing is great, I love being able to precisely set the temperature.

I have an older bonavita that brings the water to boiling and then turns off.
We practically use it for coffee and tea or plain hot water
I originally bought this for pour over coffee, but we use it for all of our hot water needs now
No more BOILING HOT water that scalds tea leaves and coffee beans
This kettle gets daily use for tea as it really allows you to boil water to whatever point you need

I have had the 1.7 L for my home for about 2 years now, and we LOVE it
They even include a plastic cover for “commercial” settings or frequent use to protect the base from the kettle leaking onto it
My biggest issue is that this kettle leaks.
The base malfunctioned after just over a year of use, and a replacement base was denied as it was just outside of warranty

the marks to show min/max fill are hard to see
Works exactly as it's supposed to

I've found that by setting the kettle to "hold" at 98 C, I can get it to work as
The spout neck is kind of a pain and the temperature regulation on the second one we bought was not as accurate as on the first one

I have had the 1.7 L for my home for about 2 years now, and we LOVE it
This is used for loose leaf and bag tea, Aeropress, pourover, french press, and hot chocolate
I liked the gooseneck design for pouring over loose leaf teas, and the ability to choose a set temperature
Works exactly as it's supposed to
This item is very useful for making pour over coffee, loose leaf tea, instant ramen, or any other thing that requires hot water in a flash!

The bottom looks and feels to be made out of really cheap plastic
Works exactly as it's supposed to
Unsafe plastic handle will allow kettle and handle to seperate
Works perfectly except for the cheap plastic on the power cord which started to crack and chip about a year ago
The plastic around the screws on the handle had just weakened and broken off.

I start the water heating at the beginning & it will be hot before I finish grinding the coffee beans
Boiling water in here coincidentally times perfectly with manually grinding the coffee beans, so that's an unintended plus.
Feels a little cheap but been going strong, boils my water about as fast as I can grind them beans.
I've found that by setting the kettle to "hold" at 98 C, I can get it to work as
I brought a hand-grinder and a bag of my favorite freshly-roasted Ethiopian beans.

Replaced one that was glass which looked terrible showing water spots and such
Also, I saw some previous reviews that showed dark spots on the bottom and they called it rust/corrosion
I saw 3 small dark spots inside center of the lid when it arrived.
After one use it has weird spots inside that I can’t remove and the coffee also tasted weird
the small opening and nib inside make it harder to clean the spots that accumulate at the bottom from leaving on the heating element

I empty it completely of water to dry after every single use, hopefully that'll keep the rust issues at
Haven't had any of the rust issues
I’ve gotten no rusting issues, no gooseneck breakage, no leaking
I use only filtered water and have not had any rust issues.
so ive never had any rust issues.
