Bose 161 Speaker System (Pair, Black)

    • I had an old and cheap Creative 5.1 computer speaker system
    • I've been putting together a fairly complex sound system in a large house and used the 161's for a tight enclosure space that yet had to work in a much larger room than they were ever intended for
    • Or is necessary buying more expensive sound systems
    • Great system though I sent them back because they weren't wireless
    • My mid frequency array and sub-woofer are not a Bose but melds nicely into a fine surround sound system.
    • Added to a set of 301s in front and a VCS center channel for a nice Bose theater system.
    • ALthough I dont think these were meant for music specificly, they work great for sorround speakers and make a great compliment to the Acoustimas 7 system since they can be hooked up directly to the rear and fx channels from my amp
    • Many people criticize Bose speaker systems
    • The Bose 161 speakers were substituted for the dual satellite speakers, thus freeing up the older Acoustimass V system (both the satellite and acoustimass combination - which are an integral system) for use as a great stereo speaker system in another room
    • While I would have like to finish my system with Cambridge Soundworks speakers, like all my others, CSW no longer makes speakers and these are an excellent compliment to my system
    • Great for starter or small theater systems, great for surround speakers, or in your room
    • The sound is impeccable, and paired with a decent subwoofer these little guys can easily hold their own over a vastly more expensive speaker system
