    • It doesn't cut voices so well, but it is great and shutting out loud background noise.- Battery life is pretty good
    • These headphones allow me to turn the background noise off
    • The noise-cancelling level drops to about 25% as soon as a call begins and all previously isolated background noise comes pouring into the buds.
    • Sounds that would be a quiet background noise for most are just as loud as a person talking right next to me
    • Unbelievably loud background noise after four months
    • The microphone is in the right ear rather than the volume control widget on the right cable, so it picks up background noise, foreground noise, and white noise it seems to produce itself
    • However, there was a strange hissing, static, an annoying background noise during phone calls that didn't go away with adjusting the noise cancellation controls on the head set and on the app.
    • I adjusted the cancellation to about 75% of max, which works fine in terms of clarity of the audio sound while permitting environmental background noise sufficient to keep me from stepping out in front of a car
    • In my opinion, they do the best job of filtering out extraneous background noise and they sound great and are a delight in general
    • This is useless for making a call, as there is sever background noise sent out, to the extent that every one complains that they cannot hear you clearly.
    • The QC30s are unusable for this, simply because they do not block enough background noise
    • Just normal background noise.
    • I have had nothing but good comments on the voice clarity on calls even in very noisy backgrounds.
    • Noise cancelling so far is on par with the QC 20, and although the call quality is not as good at rejecting background noise, the callers on the other end can hear me quite well
    • I was able to place ONE call successfully without significant background noise and then from that point forward even after upgrading the firmware and everything I was told to try the "side noise" would not go away.
    • The solution to this is to turn the noise-canceling down when make phone calls with a noisy background.
    • Unfortunately the microphone design/placement is not great and I had multiple complaints from the people I was calling about not being able to hear me or about excessive background noise
    • I purchased the QC 30 from my local Bose store a few days ago and have already been using them during my daily commutes on the DC Metro as well as in the office (where I sit in a cube farm next to some loud salespeople on the phones all day).
    • These earbuds cancel the noise but not as good as an over the ear headset.
    • You will see some examples in my video of that as well as in a store and road noise
    • As others have noted, the noise cancellation is not as good as with the Quiet Comfort 35 - which I would use more often if they weren't also earmuffs.
    • Guess I can just switch to the phone for my limited voice call use (or maybe Bose will issue a
    • I like this a lot as you don't have to take off the headphones and then put back on--you can just detach the earbuds and let 'em dangle until you need to stick 'em in your ear again
    • I travel and these are as good as
    • these r pricey and when not in your ears they just kinda dangle
