First, let me say I love these headphones

As a huge fan of the previous wired QuietComfort 20 headphones, but I hate wires

Also, I generally REALLY dislike most in-ear headphones that seal off your ear from outside sound using rubber or gummy earpieces

Especially when the two previous BOSE headphones I own still work and cosmetically look way better

I purchased the QC 30 from my local Bose store a few days ago and have already been using them during my daily commutes on the DC Metro as well as in the office (where I sit in a cube farm next to some loud salespeople on the phones all day).
