CONCLUSIONAll in all, this would be a perfect speaker if I could navigate through networked music folders without an app

Except for a problem with the speaker going off the network and the app not being to find the wifi network again (which I have temporarily fixed by using an ethernet cable to connect the speaker to the wifi router), the speaker itself is worth the money I spent on it - nice sound and using the preset stations a delight

The Bose SoundTouch 20 Series III is a well-built external speaker system

But the software and operating system is so incredibly AWFUL that I would never recommend these speakers to anybody who is not a techie type of person who actually prefers trouble shooting all the problems and isn't really all that into listening to music.

The smaller Sonos speakers do not have headphone output, which limits its usefulness as an auxiliary speaker, which the SoundTouch 10 can do

The speakers did not work from the start and when Bose released an update to their app software, they lost multiroom functionality that worked OK with Bluethooth to where they don't function correctly at all now for the past 3-4 months with Wifi on a home network being the only option to link them all
