This issue wouldn't be all that terrible if the product was made with a high quality "rubber" plastic coating; however you can tell it's the type of plastic that will not last as it's already turinin light grey at the stress points (at the T where the links split going into each ear)The sound quality is clear for music which is why I'm giving it a second star the first is for the comfortable ear pieces which actually help eliminate the outside sounds that could disrupt your music

Eight months later these are my go to earphones for traveling, my only issue is my fear of losing them.
-
First off, they completely seal around the inside of your ear: which might be a plus for some people as far as sound quality (and they do still sound good), but it creates an uncomfortable pressure issue if you don't put them in just right
-
When sound is playing, the cable noise isn't a real issue, but when its not, it becomes annoying.
-
The issue though is the flaws I had with the MIE2i's (both pairs) were STILL on the Soundtrues AND they changed the headphone jack
-
It just seems like that could be an issue down the line with wire wear
-
If I was a jogger the noise isolation can be an issue since it blocks out extraneous noises coming form traffic.. the stereo separation is fantastic, the balance of sound is excellent.

I'm going to make a little list of pros and cons, but I REALLY wanted to make the point that the largest and only serious issue with these headphones is the cord noise, which makes them unusable.pros:Extremely comfortable in-ear tipsLightweight and nice-lookingComes with convenient carry pouchHeadphone clothing clipWire controls for volume and thingscons

The wing-tip design is still good and comfortable, about the only positive I can think of
