This issue wouldn't be all that terrible if the product was made with a high quality "rubber" plastic coating; however you can tell it's the type of plastic that will not last as it's already turinin light grey at the stress points (at the T where the links split going into each ear)The sound quality is clear for music which is why I'm giving it a second star the first is for the comfortable ear pieces which actually help eliminate the outside sounds that could disrupt your music

but ultimately I get stressed when using these headphones because I'm only thinking of avoiding movements instead of actually enjoying the music which is what Bose has been marketing lately

I listen to minimalist modern orchestral music, ambient music, trip hop and jazz

I like my music to have some bass and was initially afraid the bass won't be sufficient on

Also, they did an amazing job of blocking out the sound of the crappy music they play at my gym

If u want to enjoy pure music with this earphone, u have to be very still lol

These effects are so loud that they overpower the music

but if you love great sounding music you won't be disappointed buying these Bose.

If I were encased in Carbonite and Darth Vader were nice enough to provide me with a pair of earbuds to enjoy my music with, I would pick these headphones

The sound quality is great, but you can't move at all because the cord rubbing on your shirt will cause more noise in your ears than the music, unless the music is fairly loud

These are for actually enjoying music, beautiful vocals, punchy bass and clean highs

Any movement could be heard, no matter how loud the music was

Any movement of the cord on your clothes produces a murky low noise that is almost as loud as the music at full volume

I like high bass electronic music but these headphones are more for instrumental and vocal music such as classic music or jazz

Works very well with my apple devices and it also blocks a lot of noise from the outside ( which makes the music or whatever you're listening too more enjoyable

When using these with soft music, you literally can't hear anything else going on around you

The wing-tip design is still good and comfortable, about the only positive I can think of
