For a comfortable all room different devices and good app i really recommend the soundtouch way, especially now with this fantastic new wireless link adapter.

Does not work the way you would hope

they just couldn't convince me why the SoundTouch system was superior in any worthwhile way to simply BlueToothing in to anything.

But, if you want to connect this to multiple SoundTouch speaker, this becomes a pretty cool way to go

If you are looking to steam music over wifi to multiple speakers in your home at the same time, there is a growing number of options, but the degree to which they work (well or at all) can vary a lot!The main options I have personally tried are:Airtunes (over 3rd party speakers as well as through Apple TV)Google Cast Audio (independent device that can be connected to any existing speaker)SonosBose SoundtouchTo enable a whole home with room-by-room speakers and control can be quite a costly project, since most of these devices do not intermix with each other

As I said, now that the Bose “puck” is networked to BOTH my wifi as well as via Bluetooth, I can choose either one, however wifi is hands down better.
