Tea light candles are so cheap ( I recommend the primelight ones - made in USA)

Light the candle and heat the porcelain and no worries it keeps the cheese great temperature, you could take this thing anywhere if you really wanted to do fondue outside your home, or over to a friends house and no cord to trip on or fuel gel to worry about just pop the candle under it and ready to go (I literally just got done with a fondue as I'm writing this)

The tea-light candle is just right for keeping the mixture hot while dining, and the wood platform is attractive - and prevents damage from spilled wax (should any spillage occur)

The packaged fondue (which I must admit tastes nearly as good as my made-from-scratch fondue) fits perfectly and was plenty as a dinner for two people.
