Important note: the ceramic pot must be submerged and soaked in cold water for two hours before its first use

Followed instructions and soaked pot in cold water prior to use, but after about 30 minutes over the tea light provided, the bowl cracked!!

Was sent a replacement (gotta love Amazon), followed the cold water soak suggestion and it worked like a charm

Definitely follow the instructions to soak in cold water prior to 1st use (I think it was 30 mins..?), I still never actually found that in the materials that come in the box but saw several recommendations in other reviews... I failed to do that the first time around and it broke on the 1st use

Easy cleanup!Just be sure to melt the cheese on the stove, and I even pre-heat the pot by filling it with hot water

The packaged fondue (which I must admit tastes nearly as good as my made-from-scratch fondue) fits perfectly and was plenty as a dinner for two people.
