BOSS DS-1 Distortion Guitar Pedal, Black, 40th Anniversary Limited Edition

    • Not the best and not the worst, but if it’s good enough for just about every famous guitar virtuoso since the early 80’s, then it’s good enough for me
    • I am teaching myself to play and I wanted to make my guitar sound like some of my favorite rockers
    • My very fist guitar pedal was a BOSS (actually it was a distortion pedal, but not this one), and I still have it and use it
    • I am not the best guitar player, but someone with better fingers would immediately fall in love with this guy
    • I am a fanatic about my gear, but for no other reason than I simply love the guitar
    • The distortion is flexible and you get more the louder your guitar is turned up, back your guitar down and the sound cleans up nicely
    • It may be useful for some lead guitar, but the sound is very 'fizzy' and thin sounding- not a rich, complex tone by any means
    • If you want to have a REAL good time playing with your band, this pedal will make you sound like Kurt Cobain's crappy distorted guitar
    • burn I like os1 better.
    • I use the orange micro dark as clean as I can get it, and set the volume and shape knobs accordingly
    • Physically, the pedal is a tank, I don't think they can be killed as I let my 16 year old use
