    Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive

    • Like many guitarists, my first distortion pedal was a Boss DS-1, which was durable and aggressive, but also extremely frustrating.
    • The Boss SD-1 is my recommendation to any rock artist, looking for a good quality stomp box that will boost well into high gain
    • The Boss Super Overdrive works well with both pickup types and can have a good "bite" if you want.
    • If you like silent operation then Boss is the way to go
    • I like the Boss Overdrive for fact that it a great booster to your amps own overdrive or distortion
    • At $49, one of the cheaper Boss pedals, but sounds awesome.
    • Good solid Boss construction built for gigging as ever.
    • Classic Boss looks and easy battery change, if you like batteries (me, I'm a One-Spot fan, which works great for this pedal.
    • I would probably really only recommend the Boss Overdrive to someone who is using a bigger amp or stack
    • Like many guitarists, my first distortion pedal was a Boss DS-1, which was durable and aggressive, but also extremely frustrating.
    • I personally like the Boss Bluesdriver better
