Not only is it a fire hazard if you accidentally left something like a napkin on top of the unit, it actually melted through a thick power cord that was plugged into the same outlet (whereas my older toaster oven did not after sharing the same electric outlet for years)

Controls break on those and heating elements split and become a fire hazard.

This one is a little on the small side and it gets extremely hot on the sides and back which makes me worry about if the cord we’re leaning up against it, that kind of heat might be a fire hazard

It's a perfectly capable little oven, but for the price I don't think it's anything special
