As we search for solutions with Brother it is clear that our is not an isolated problem, others with Windows have the same problem as far back as Windows 7

The only problem besides it being so noisy and slow on start up was that solid patches of color were no longer consistent even though I replaced the drum assembly a couple of years ago

Other problems include dropping offline (at the most inconvenient times) for both wired and wireless modes, and it reluctance to immediately recognize Bother-branded toner cartridges.
