Tried Brother tech support, who claimed it must be a firewall issue
-
Love my BROTHER
-
I used to have a very good Brother printer and was hopeful this would be an inexpensive way to get a wireless color inkjet, but this is clearly a shoddy product designed to extract as much cash from buyers as possible.
-
they showed me the chip that Brother puts on the ink so that no other even compatible will EVER work
-
If its not a genuine Brother, it throws an error code as an unrecognized cartridge
-
For the record, I've only used genuine, new Brother cartridges
-
I love my Brother All in One
-
I remembered that many years ago I had a Brother printer that I liked, so I chose this one after looking at reviews
-
Regardless, when this puppy dies I won't be getting another Brother.
-
Amazing affordable reliable brothers printer
-
The genuine Brother ink is very affordable compared to HP and Epson and it worked great, BUT only for the first 3 months.
-
It had everything we wanted, and I LOVE Brother!!
-
I am using "Genuine Brother" products, I even bought and tried an extra just in case it was a fluke-but it will no longer recognize a full ink cartridge and wont print anything.
-
so good brother printers are my only choice all the others fail in comparison and ink is much cheaper with 4 cartridge printers then the terrible 2 cartridge types
-
I would really like my old brother back!
-
Good works pretty brother printer, thank you, Horace
-
I'm also disappointed that Brother phone and chat support is not at least available for some hours on Saturday, just M-F.
-
The worst thing is that Brother had never programmed their printers to reject 3rd party cartridges
-
I honestly feel Brother should owe me damages for this
-
The Windows XP setup was tricky but I followed Brother's online instructions exactly and it worked on the first try.
-
Brother denies this they just use the excuse that the do not "guarantee" another ink cartridge
-
I had forgotten that Brother's were a little more difficult than HP to use
-
Just wish the touch pad was larger, and like the last Brother (larger, more intuitive)
-
Not worth the time & hassle calling Brother
-
PRINTER"This thing is a horrible sick joke Brother has played on its customers
-
Thank you Brother.
-
Brother perfected their duplex printing long ago on their laser printers, and now that capability is available on these less expensive inkjet machines
-
The biggest issue I have is that I'm using GENUINE BROTHER
-
I have 2 other Brother printers which I love, for simplicity, and ink longevity
-
Brother has failed to address this issue for years
-
Brother is dead to me.
-
Then I ordered a brother ink specifically for this printer and STILL not working
-
After a few weeks all is fine, everything works great, a typically great Brother Printer
-
Brother is like a brother to me.. very reliable.
-
I love brother printers, easy to install and everything.
-
It will not recognize the brand new genuine brother ink.
-
It was easy to install (I went to brothers support site and downloaded the latest full driver set for
-
To scan required using the antiquated Brother utilities, which appeared to have been developed sometime in the Windows NT days
-
I'm very pleased and highly recommend this Brother MFC-J480DW Wireless Inkjet Color Printer/Fax Machine.
-
27 B&W PPM is a complete lie
-
Give this a solid 'B+" in the printing department, an "A" in the space requirement and thus far an "A+" in the use of ink.
-
In some ways I love it because it's frugal on ink, provides decent B&W and color printing, and the ink is much cheaper than the HP all-in-one it replaced
-
It easily accepts off-brand cartridges and prints beautifully in color or B&W - sharp, true-to-life colors without leaks or streaks
