The scanning software (I have a mac) is fantastic

2016.The software that comes with it is actually not that bad, as OEM software goes.

Brother has improved their software, so it is a win-win between the application and the hardware.

However, one can obtain free software, icopy, that can do everything that the copying menu on this machine does, and far far better.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the scanning software is mediocre

The software is difficult to use and I already need a drum replacement for a printer that hardly worked.

There is no support for problems with it, the software is out of date, it's not really compatible with windows 10, and there's a hundred better printers out there

Brother has good software to help you with scanning jobs and they have good drivers for Windows

The software is not just bad, it is piss poor. if you ever need to scan anything, this thing makes it an absolute chore.

It has very buggy firmware and very buggy windows software.

With that in mind it's kinda surprising their Windows 7 software was so bad

Software buggy - if you had an older Brother software on your computer you will need to call customer support to help you uninstall before you can install the new software and even then the wireless connectivity is temperamental and keeps turning off.
