Even that doesn't work half the time

this thing never stays online, deep sleep and sleep modes constantly stand in the way of effortless printing...called brother several times and every time they say the printer needs updating.....very frustrated

I use the scanner and the printer all the time and those functions work very well.

I have adequate lighting at my desk but the printer is off to the side and I have the hardest time reading what's on the display2.

Because of the above, this printer took more than an hour to physically install it (this does not include the clean up time)...---

! Says it’s jammed all the time.

My only complaint is when I am scanning a document, 5 times out of 10 it jams in the feeder

I bought a Inkvestment color printer from Brother and it was horrible in print quality, super noisy, slow & has paper jam problem all the time

I have downloaded from the Brother site countless times, but the printer just will not work

If you don't do it right the first time you're gonna have a bad time.

I had an extremely difficult time getting this set up on my Mac

We have no issues with ink waste, No changing the cartridge all the time, and no issues with the wireless printing

The only one thing is I have a hard time connect the machine with WIFI

I got mad every time I had to buy an overpriced inkjet cartridge, and the final straw was when I was going to have to pay $50 for a color cartridge even though I only use black and white (my HP printer required both cartridges).

Excellent printer, well made and should last a long time like other Brother products I've purchased.

Now it's great but wouldn't recommend for those who aren't tech savvy or don't have that much free time trying to get a printer to print.

I had a hard time getting it to recognize the wifi, and I had to download a discovery tool from the Brother website to get it connected.

If you enjoy being beyond frustrated every single time you want to print a page, then by all means, buy this printer

I got this printer in a "crunch" at the local store; it made t his horrible screeching noise every time I printed or copied; so I had brothers send me out another one and it does the very same thing.

Instead of sending me a replacement printer while they INVESTIGATE this mysterious burning smell further on their own sweet time, they tell me to wait until a SPECIAL UPPER SUPPORT TEAM gets back to me

This printer works every time, prints fast, prints great, and air print from my iphone is super easy

In fact, every time this happens, I spend a minimum of 45 minutes trying everything under the sun to reconnect it because the same strategy doesn't work every time

For $150 it's not worth my time to pack it back up and ship it back for a refund

We are having a very easy time learning to use this unit and don't have to worry about it drying out

No problem in the sleep mode - it comes right back to life and requires little warm-up time

Also when it goes to sleep, next time you try to copy using the auto feeder, it makes this horrible grinding noise until you clear it out.

Every time I need to print an envelope or a label, it means struggling with the printer to turn it around, get at those levers, and reverse

Nice clear printing every time.

Envelope feeding was a pain the first time due to lack of documentation, but a search on the YouTube helped.

If you try to configure Wi-Fi on the printer via tiny display and menu settings you're going to have a bad time

I got this printer from Amazon, every time I turn it on, it gives a Wifi connection error and can't print

My only issue is the size, it was unexpected, however I can only assume this behemoth will be with me for a good long time.

I'm an IT tech and wasted too much time on it.
