I haven't had to change mine yet since I cleaned the contacts, and I have been using this thing a LOT.Good luck and enjoy your labeler!

If you get it again, first clean the contacts and if you still get it, then maybe it's time to change the batteries out

Tried everything recommended here - switching brands, cleaning the battery contacts, and ignoring the warning & printing anyway

Get a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol and wipe clean all the battery contacts in the battery compartment, even though it probably doesn't appear to be dirty
