My favorite feature is that the printer is able to recognize what kind of label is currently in the machine, and communicates that information back to the software (both the P-Touch software I use on Windows, and the Brother app on my iOS device).

That seems like a pretty amazing feature to miss for such an otherwise great printer.

There is a "professional mode" to the software, which is more feature rich than the normal version, but it just has a look and feel reminiscent of software from the old days

Crisp thermal printing (so, no need for ink), and some useful smart features will have you printing labels quickly.

The brother web server, however, (the interface you get in to configure the printer) on this device is super slow as if it was powered by a watch processor, and you have to save after each change, not just at the end of your session
