    C2G 30504 Cables to Go USB 2.0 to IDE or Serial ATA Drive Adapter Cable, Black

    • First off, the reason I needed this was because my lovely Acer desktop fried its own motherboard.
    • When my old desktop PC crashed I thought I had lost all of my photos, music and documents.
    • Dell Inspiron desktop crashed ... motherboard, etc ( out of warranty) which I really didn't care about so long as I could transfer my files,etc from hard drive
    • I had a desktop PC which died on
    • I used these to move data from 3 old desktop hard drives to a new 2.5" raid setup
    • It rescued data from my dead desktop that I thought I would never be able to recover.
    • I can now access my old IDE or SATA laptop hard drives or my interal desktop hard drives I had lying around.!!
    • My desktop crashed and I tried everything but could not get it to work
    • Once my old hard drives were removed from the dead desktop pc, only took 5 minutes before I had access to the removed drives.
    • I used it to pull data off of an old desktop hard-drive that had been laying around my garage for a couple of years.
    • This worked great for getting all my info off an old desktop hard drive.
    • Within minutes, I pulled the IDE drive from a recently dead E-machine, powered it up using the supplied power supply, and connected it to the laptop that replaced it
    • (Apricorn couldn't)- Transfer speeds faster (25MB/s) than the Apricorn (15MB/s) with a good 3.5" IDE drive using dd with rdisk parameters
