I am always careful to follow the instructions given like keeping the flame under the glass bottom and keeping the handle and top away from the flame

I gave 4 stars for heat resistance because the handle gets hot enough that I have to use a towel to remove it from the heat source

Cool handle was one of the important factors in purchasing this kettle, so I am pretty disappointed.

If you use the kettle on the smaller eyes of the stove the handle doesn’t get as hot but if you use the kettle on an eye that is bigger around then the bottom of the kettle, the HANDLE GETS EXTREMELY HOT and you have to use an oven glove/mitt to move it and pour the water out.

I've had this tea kettle for a while now (probably a couple years) and the handle always got SO hot

the kettle is great, the handle has chipped in several spots on the handle, right around the hole that that houses the screw that attaches the handle to the glass, the manufacturer's response was that they would replace it and we have to pay the freight, this gives them a poor rating on their customer service and i will not ever recommend themthey must have heard problems from other purchasers in regard to the defective handles, there are other companies that sell the same product i would advise you purchase from a different seller !

Nice product , reason I purchased was because I wanted a non-metal kettle for health reasons however the handle is defective, upon lifting the pot with about 24 oz of hot water inside , it gave in as I lifted and my knuckles pressed against hot surface of the glass

Takes a while to boil water as you can only use medium heat on smallest burner.

The only thing to look out for is to not place your hand over the little hole on the top when it's boiling as it burns!

however I would suggest the range grates be free from defects as not to scratch the glass
