I've personally found that the shock from hitting harder golf balls actually started hurting the wrist upon impact.

And I've played with some cheap golf balls and these, but the difference is hardly comparable unless you're a pro.

Callaway advertises that their “35 compression rating and soft cover produce very little spin leading to straighter and more accurate shots”.I have tried numerous golf balls over the years & I am finding that I am playing my best golf with the 35 compression Callaway “super soft response” golf balls & highly I recommend them to older players who are suffering from the “slowing swing” syndrome

Low-compression surlyn golf balls like the Supersoft spin less and they go a little straighter and carry further with IRONS

I like the soft golf balls these are great, so great I never use them over the water just in case
