A dedicated higher end stereo amp like the CXA60 will give the sound a degree of refinement, but it’s easier to improve sound with better speakers than with a better amp

I've had decent systems - Onkyo, Sony etc. and decent speakers but recently got the urge to move up a step and this amp has won many rave reviews and awards, as have the Elac UB5 speakers.

This receiver is paired with a Marantz CD6006 as well as Sony speakers
